Always in search of an adventure, I set off in my post college days to student teach in Dublin, Ireland, followed by travels across Europe to Israel when my mother insisted I come home to California and start working. Two years later, I joined the Peace Corps where I met my husband, while serving in Lesotho, Southern Africa. That was over 39 years ago, and when the real adventure began. Our three children are avid outdoors people and occasionally are patient enough to invite their mother rafting, hiking, climbing or mountain biking. If not outside, I work on the arduous task of becoming a writer, my lifelong dream. Hopefully, I have improved since my childhood when I'd beg my mother to publish my poems.
